Assurity River’s expanded risk management capabilities now include comprehensive business continuity and security services
MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 3, 2007—Assurity River Group, a leading Twin Cities-based business continuity consulting fi rm, announced today that it has acquired the information security services group of Alebra Technologies. Alebra, also located in the Twin Cities, is a leader in providing information security risk management for fi nancial services companies.
The acquisition expands Assurity River’s risk management capabilities to include comprehensive business continuity and security services. It also increases the size of Assurity River’s consulting team and enhances its in-depth knowledge of the fi nancial services market.“
Alebra has a sterling reputation, enjoys a trusted relationship with many community banks and has a proven track record of developing comprehensive information security programs that ensure the security of information and fi nancial transactions,” said Assurity River President Jeff Olejnik. “This acquisition enables Assurity River to immediately offer world-class security services and gain additional talent for our business continuity services.”
“Our clients will benefi t greatly from the combination of our companies,” said Peter Hausmann, Alebra’s security services practice leader. “Assurity River’s services are highly complementary to our core business, and the fi rm has an exceptional reputation in the banking industry.”
Experts agree that information security is essential to ensure a company’s uninterrupted business operations. Yet many organizations today struggle to manage competing security priorities, and they have limited resources to address them. According to Olejnik, “With Assurity River’s expanded capabilities, we are now well positioned to help our clients prioritize their security needs and allocate their resources effectively.”
