Two Banking Industry IT Veterans Join Assurity River Group as Information Security Consultants
Current and Projected Growth Fuels Staff Expansion
MINNEAPOLIS—June 17, 2008—Assurity River Group (http://www.assurityriver.com)—a leading Twin Cities-based information security and business continuity consulting firm—announced today that Daren Mehl and Dan Sanderson have joined the company as information security consultants. They will be responsible for helping clients manage IT security risk by performing information security risk assessments, creating and documenting IT policies and procedures for clients and assisting with disaster recovery planning projects.
Prior to joining Assurity River Group, Mehl was vice president of information technology for United Bankers' Bank, the nation’s first bankers’ bank. Mehl designed a major Internet online banking system utilizing biometric authentication and is a noted speaker at international events about the deployment of the award-winning system. Because of his extensive community bank experiences, Mehl is recognized as a leader in technology and security among community banks in the Midwest. He also has a deep understanding of government regulations and best practices for financial institutions.
Sanderson comes to Assurity River Group from CFC Technology, where he served as vice president of technology. Many Midwest banks have utilized Sanderson’s expertise to build secure and reliable disaster recovery technology systems. Sanderson is a frequent guest and keynote speaker at many banking events and has addressed such audiences as the Minnesota Bankers Association, Iowa Bankers Association, Wisconsin Bankers Association and the Independent Community Bankers of Minnesota.
