Assurity River can become your in-house BC Readiness Administrator, validating and updating your plans to meet current readiness requirements and ensure recovery teams are ready to respond. We are accountable for making sure your business is ready to deal with a disruption in the event of a crisis.
Using our proven methodology, Assurity River’s team of Certified Business Continuity Planners (CBCPs) can provide more efficient, cost-effective solutions for managing disaster recovery programs than internal resources can. Our Program Administration Services include:
Web-based Plan Hosting – To protect your plan and avoid additional software, hardware or IT support costs, Assurity River hosts your plan in our Web-based, fully-managed software application, where it is secure yet easily accessible in our off-site data center.
Plan Validation – To ensure your plan reflects the way you do business today—and tomorrow—so that all critical parts of your business are considered within the strategy.
Plan Update and Maintenance – To ensure your plan remains in synch with organizational changes and compliance regulations, Assurity River takes responsibility for updating your plan on a scheduled periodic basis. We proactively capture changes through our change control process and scheduled validation.
Testing and Simulation Exercises – To increase recovery team awareness and preparedness and to identify any problems within the recovery strategy, Assurity River facilitates scheduled “tabletop” drills in a simulated environment to exercise the plan. These drills are an educational (and enjoyable) way to practice disruption response procedures.
Plan Testing – To validate the success of your recovery strategy, Assurity River administers and facilitates tests that evaluate the recoverability of your critical business applications. We work with you to develop test objectives, coordinate appropriate recovery teams, and observe and document results. Possible activities include IT recovery tests, which validate that critical applications can be recovered within acceptable timeframes, and tabletop exercises, in which recovery teams walk through the documented continuity procedures for responding to real-life disaster scenarios, like a power outage, weather-related disaster, security breach, theft or systems outage.
Assessment and Reporting – To ensure senior management can make informed decisions about how to best prepare the organization for recovery, Assurity River provides a report documenting the results of tests and exercises. This report compares results to test and exercise objectives, recommends improvements and identifies changes that need to be made to the plan. It also assures auditors that your company is meeting its regulatory requirements.
